For the past few weeks our second graders have been learning
about measurement. We have been measuring objects using many different units of
measurement such as inches, feet, yards, centimeters, and meters.
We have been having a lot of fun in the classroom measuring
multiple objects around the room with these different units of measurement. In
groups, students have learned how to decide what unit of measurement to use
while measuring these different objects. The students have also learned how to
compare these objects and state how much longer or shorter one object is from
another.

helping them measure objects at home these past few weeks!
